Two health workers at Nsanje District Hospital have quarantined themselves after testing positive for Covid 19.
Nsanje district hospital public relations officer George Mbotwa confirmed the development to Generation Times.
According to Mbotwa the two who work as Nurses at the facility, underwent the test after suspecting some signs and symptoms of the pandemic.
This is the first case involving health workers in Nsanje since the disease was confirmed in the district
Mbotwa however appealed to the general public to follow all precautions measures that the nsanje district hospital has put in place to fight against pandemic
Meanwhile Nsanje has recorded 26 confirmed cases cumulatively and 20 are suspects with 1 recovered no death total tests conducted 110 from four traditional authorities namely Mbenje, Mlolo, Malemia and M’gabu while two are health workers at Nsanje district hospital 22 are imported disease.
