Nsanje District Council has temporarily closed its offices from today Monday, 27th to Friday,July 31, 2020 to allow fumigation of its offices.
The council’s Spokesperson, Martin Chiwanda, confirms this in an interview with GT saying all operations will now be done from homes.
Chiwanda said the offices will re-open until further notice.
The development comes amid reports that one of the workers at Nsanje district council has been tested positive of corona virus and is admitted to isolation room at Nsanje district hospital where he receiving treatment.
According to Nsanje district hospital’s Spokesperson, George Mbotwa, as of July 23, 2020, the district has registered 31 confirmed cases of Covid 19 with 1 death and 20 recoveries.
