The Ministry of Health through Blantyre District Office is has launched a trace campaign for the people who came in contact with a recent COVID-19 case who tested positive on 26th April 2020 in Blantyre.
According to the press release signed by the Director of Health Social Services, Dr. Gift Kawalazira, dated 29th April 2020, said the suspect was tested positive in Blantyre after he travelled from Salima on Matours Bus.
Kawalazira further requested those who boarded this bus on that particular day to go for COVID 19 testing.
The latter says the person was returning from Tanzania and went through Salima where he boarder the matours bus heading to Blantyre.
However the Ministry is still advising those concerned to follow health advice in order to prevent the spread the virus.
Meanwhile Minister of Health, Jappie Mhango has announced that another one person has tested positive to COVID19 bringing the total National tally to 37 with 3 deaths while 7 people have recovered from the pandemic.
