Eye of the needy development trust has appealed members of the communities across the country to be vigilant in the fight against Corona Virus, which has affect the wold and left many people dead.
In an interview with the Board Chairperson of the organization, Hon. Billy Kaunda, he said members of the community are crucial if the country is to win battle again the COVID-19.
“Members of the community are key to winning this battle” said Kaunda adding, “the government has introduced the measures but it remains the duty of the members of the community to adhere to the introduced measure.”
Kaunda further appealed to members of the community across the country to report any suspected case of COVID 19 to health facilities to make sure there is proper follow up of the same to prevent further infections.
In an exclusive interview Kaunda, further appealed to people in the bordering districts to “sleep with one eye open” to ensure that they help monitoring would be undocumented migrants using unchartered routes to report them to police and immigration for possible action.
In another development Hon. Marry Navitcha has commended the level of preparedness by the immigration and health officials in Mulanje at Muloza boarder.
Speaking after tour the facilities, the Minister said, she was satisfied that the boarder is on top of things in as far as preparation of the district is concerned to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile Malawi has registered fifth confirmed COVID case in Blantyre.
