APM set to launch the construction of 250 secondary Schools project

President Peter Muntharika will tomorrow, Tuesday 8th October, launch the construction of 250 Secondary Schools in the capital, Lilongwe.

According to the reports from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) says President Muntharika will break the ground at Kawale Community Day Secondary School at Two O’clock in the afternoon before making a declaration statement of the project launching and thereafter proceed to address a rally at Kamuzu Institute for the Youth in Lilongwe.

Commenting on the development, one of the country’s Education analyst Moses Busha, says plans to construct 250 Secondary Schools across the country is a sign of government’s commitment to develop the education sector.

Busha said the schools will among others ease access to Secondary school education.

He therefore commended President Peter Mutharika for fulfilling his campaign.

It will be first rally the for President Peter Muntharika to held in Lilongwe, since the 21st May Tripartite elections in which UTM and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) are challenging the results of the elections through the Constitutional court sitting in Lilongwe.
